Victoria Jean Tytenicz

April 16, 1947 — December 19, 2018

Victoria Jean (Vickie) Tytenicz, 71, of Luther left this life for her Heavenly home on December 19, 2018 at her longtime residence in Luther. She was born to Lloyd and Mary Cavender Ellefson on April 16, 1947 in Del City, OK. Victoria graduated from Luther High School in 1965. She and John Tytenicz were married on June 17, 1966 in Luther, OK. Victoria attended cosmetology school and worked as a hair stylist for Carolyn Lawson and customer service at Tuesday Morning. She was employed at Parson’s Jewelry in Edmond for over 20 years. Victoria also operated Coach’s Café in Luther and was a substitute in Luther Schools for 15 years. She drove a wheat truck and cooked for more than 50 years for hay hands during harvest. You could count on a delicious, home cooked meal with a sweet treat to polish it off. She also was a cashier for shows and sales at Chandler Pig and Lamb Sales Co. Victoria was a faithful and active member of Luther First Baptist Church for more than 60 years where she taught Sunday School for all ages, children to adult women. She served many outreach meals during community funerals and holiday and church celebrations. One of her great joys in life was cooking at Falls Creek for more than 40 years. Victoria spent every morning in Bible study and thoughtful prayer for loved ones and friends. She enjoyed fresh-popped popcorn and Diet Coke and loved to watch movies with her grandchildren. She was a devoted friend and never left the house without looking her best, right down to her lipstick and eye lashes.Survivors include her husband of 52 years John Tytenicz; a son Greg Tytenicz and wife Amber of Luther; a daughter Kim and husband Randy Barton of Chandler; grandchildren Lauren Barton, J. R. Barton and Victoria Barton of Chandler and Gracie and Anna Tytenicz of Luther; two sisters, Alice Turner of Chandler and Karole and husband Harold Stout of Jones; nieces Cheri and husband Chuck Patterson, Lisa and husband Lyle Quishenberry, Millisa Ellefson, Suzanne and husband Jeff Voss and Jill and husband William Jennings; nephew Ryan Ellefson and wife Miranda and a host of other relatives, her church family and many friends.
