Wanda Fay Costiloe

Wanda Fay Costiloe, 84, of Harrah, OK passed peacefully to her new life in Heaven, surrounded by family, on June 4, 2020 in Harrah, OK. She was born May 15, 1936 in Ringold, OK to Alexander Ensey and Gertie Combs Ensey. Wanda was an amazing wife of 55 years to Bill. Together, they raised three children. They have nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Over the years, she planted many vegetable gardens, snapped lots of green beans, shelled lots of peas, and shucked tons of corn. She was proud to show off her flower gardens to anyone who wanted to take the tour. She was the neighborhood nurse. All the kids would come to see her for any scrapes or cuts to bandage, and she kissed every single one. She also knew how to keep the grandkids in line with the occasional whoopin. There was always an extra plate for anyone who sat at her table, and no one ever left hungry. Her most famous dishes were fried chicken, fried catfish, and of course, fried okra. She also made a heck of a PB&J. Iced tea could always be found in the fridge, and there were always great conversations to be had. Warm hugs were free of charge, words of wisdom were always available, and if she felt you needed it, a sock in the nose would be offered. She was a wonderful wife, mom, and nana and will be missed by all that loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Craig Costiloe; three brothers, Warren Ensey, Roy Ensey and Clarence Ensey and three sisters, Oma Faye Vann, Isabelle Ashford and Pauline Wadley. Wanda is survived by her husband William Costiloe; a son Jim Costiloe and wife Karen of Troup, TX; a daughter Sandy Valley of Wellston, OK; two brothers, Roger Ensey of Ringold, OK and Truman Ensey of Oklahoma City; 9 grandchildren, Bobby Valley, Frank Valley Jr., Nick Valley, Samantha Whitaker, Gage Costiloe, Bradley Costiloe, Clayton Costiloe, Tyler Barnes and Ross Barnes and many other honorary grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services will be Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m. in the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel followed by interment in Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
