Wanda Marie Hickman, 76, of Harrah, OK, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant, passed from this life to her Heavenly home on August 11, 2019, in Oklahoma City, OK. Wanda was born in Arkoma, OK, on September 30, 1942, to Curtis and Ruby (Randolph) Toon. She was a pastor’s wife and homemaker who loved to read, cook, and work in her garden, but most of all, Wanda enjoyed being with her husband, kids and grandkids. Wanda spent her life serving Jesus. She was active in women's and children's ministries, serving with her husband at:Cowlington Baptist Church of Cowlington, OK; Highway 96 Baptist Church in AR; Double Branch Baptist Church of Poteau, OK; First Baptist Church of Milfay, OK; First Baptist Church of Perkins, OK; Midway Baptist Church of Wichita, KS; First Baptist Church of Medford, OK; Rock Springs Baptist Church of Stilwell, OK; Hopewell Baptist Church of Bethel Acres, OK; and Penn West Baptist Church of Holdenville, OK. She also served at the Union Rescue Mission of Wichita, KS, alongside her husband, Harvey, for nine years. She had a gift for working with people of all ages and backgrounds and was loved by everyone whose life she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Harvey Hickman, with whom she celebrated their 57th Anniversary last November; three daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Goodwin and husband Lonnie of Dallas, TX; Amanda (Amy) Davis and husband Chris of Choctaw, OK; Angela (Angie) Jones and husband David of Huntsville, AL; a son, Harvey Hickman and wife Wendy of Shawnee, OK; siblings, Carole Overstreet and husband Charles of Arkoma, OK; Charles Toon and wife Dottie of Ft. Smith, AR; and Kathy Buzbee and husband Terry of Ft. Smith, AR; 12 grandchildren, Kayla, Rachel, Hayley, and Nathan (Cindy); Seth, Alyssa, and Samantha (Angie), Brady, Rylie, and Alexis (Harvey); Kearstyn and Katelyn (Amy); and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, at 10 a.m.in the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel followed by interment in Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
